Here's the worst part of post-nasal drip:
You're constantly clearing your throat in public. People think you're contagious or sick.
You end up starting to avoid things.
You know the feeling.
You're at a restaurant with family. Everyone's talking and eating.
Then it starts...
That tickle in your throat.
You try to hold it back.
You take a sip of water. You swallow hard.
But it won't go away.
So you clear your throat.
Once. Twice. Three times.
People at the next table look over.
Your family shifts in their seat.
No one says anything. But you feel it.
It's humiliating.
You start to avoid the places you used to love.
Because you know what will happen.
That throat clearing will echo.
People will turn around.
You'll spend the whole time anxious, trying not to cough.
It's exhausting. Embarrassing. Frustrating.
And you just want to feel normal again.
So why does this keep happening?
And why hasn't anything worked?
