It comes down to how the mullein is extracted.
Mullein leaf naturally contains plant compounds called saponins. Mullein has traditionally been prepared with water, as teas and infusions — and in one study on another saponin-rich plant, water extracted more saponin than alcohol did.
So CleraVox is water-extracted three separate times — 90 minutes each — to draw out as much of the leaf’s natural compounds as possible. A single, quick extraction leaves a lot behind in the leaf.
